Field Marshal, Tantawi launched the RORO Ship “Al Hurreya 3” at Alexandria Shipyard
Field Marshal, Hussein Tantawi,the general Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production has been witnessed the launching ceremony of the First ship production of Alexandria Shipyard after transferring to the ministry of Defense, “Al Hurreya 3” The biggest ship ever built by the Egyptian hands at Alexandria Shipyard.
This achievement comes within President Mubarak's directions towards the great Interest of maritime transportation and the role and efforts of the armed forces to contribute to the comprehensive development plan and to support National Industries and National Economy
Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi pointed out to the great accomplishment by the loyal Egyptians efforts which support the growth and development of the National Economy
Also to the shipyard integrated Upgrade plans to cope with the most modernized global systems.
The launching ceremony was witnessed by Lieutenant General Sami Anan, the Armed Forces Chief of Staff, and elite of Main Branches Commanders, Alexandria and Behaira Governors and Alexandria Shipyard employees.
