Field Marshal, Tantawi launched of the RORO Ship “Al Hurreya 3” at Alexandria Shipyard

  • The Field Marshal, Hussein Tantawi, Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production has been witnessed the launching ceremony of the First ship production of Alexandria Shipyard after transferring to the ministry of Defense, “Al Hurreya 3” The biggest ship ever built by the Egyptian hands at Alexandria Shipyard.

• The Shipyard Vocational Training Center accepts the new batch (47) of 650 apprentices for session 2011 for all technical branches of ship building, repair and engineering activities.

• ASY finished the special survey of repair and maintenance of the self elevation jack up rig (J.P Bussell) on 26/4/2011 according to the services agreement with the American company, Rowan Drilling.

• succefully finished the project of repair and maintenance of the self elevation jack up rig (Adriatic X) on 17/4/2011 according to the master services agreement with GlobalSantaFe services – Transocean

• succefully finished the special survey of repair and maintenance of the American Marine Drilling jackup Rig "Ocean Spur" for Diamond off shore Company

 

• The shipyard had ISO certified for Production ISO 9001 :2008, the Occupational Health and Safety OHSAS 18001: 2007 and the Environmental Management System ISO 14001: 2004

• The shipyard contracted with the Red Sea Ports Authority for building Fifty 50 tons Marine TUG boat

• The shipyard starts repairing and rehabilitation a six thousand tons Floating Dock.
